Jaco Snoek

In the nineties Jaco entered the world of advertising and public relations at an early stage of his career through an internship with the creative team of Lindsay Smithers (FCB) where he worked on campaigns for, amongst others SAA and Toyota .   
  
From there he moved on working in a design capacity for companies like Ogilvy (advertising), Hengstman (design) and Adept (exhibitions design and construction).
He started his own design company in Fourways (APS:Advertising Promotions and Services) and his freelance assignments over several years exposed him to different tasks ranging from communication strategy planning, activations implementation and client service.

A short stint in Germany allowed for an insight in cultural orientation and communication differentiation.
The experience working for companies coupled to his own initiatives allowed Jaco to become a typical all-rounder in marketing communications and a master of strategic marketing, creative design, excellence in branding for communication also specialising in online communication strategies and activations.

From 2008 Jaco joined MSC in Fourways (Marketing Communications and Services) as the executive in charge of a design team including web. His flair for project planning and implementation extended to engaging his special skills for client services for clients which he managed with distinction.

Retainer clients included Oasys Innovations (exhibitions and infrastructure for 2010 Soccer World Cup), Siemens (Telecommunications), Gallagher Convention Centre (Midrand), Lighting Innovations (manufacturer of lighting products), Southern Mapping Company (aerial landscape surveying), PRISA (Public Relations Institute), EXSA (Exhibitions and Events Association), Abraham Kriel Childcare, Resonant (environmental technologies), Sibanye (mining), Diplomat (distribution company for Proctor&Gamble) and others.

Jaco’s engagement in the total stream of communication activations was not only of exceptional quality for MSC clients, but also lead to the consultancy being awarded the top prize in the category “Memorable Events” during the EXSA annual awards.

The only thing that is constant in life is change and Jaco decided to move on with his life leaving a successful CV behind in Johannesburg and started his own consultancy (JJS Communication) in the charm of Mpumalanga. As a brand transformation catalyst he consults and designs assignments for clients ranging from book publishers to funeral undertakers and farmer’s associations.
