Juan-Pierre Fouche

Juan-Pierre started his career at Stellenbosch University more than 30 years ago where he studied as an Electrical Engineer and then opted to branch in the newly emerging Information Technology Industry sector in South Africa. 
He developed a passion and vision for Networking and its future. 

After 3 years at the university, he opted to move from Cape Town to Gauteng. There he developed his skillset at companies like Acer Africa, Pinnacle Micro, Toyota South Africa and MTN
During 1999 Juan-Pierre was one of the major role players in IT Infrastructure planning, development and roll-out together with an Israeli team at the All-Africa Games
Juan-Pierre was also responsible as IT Support Technician at Pinnacle Micro for President Thabo Mbeki, Minister of Finance, Trevor Manuel as well as Ishmail Nomoniat, the Director General of finance for Government’s computers during the late 1990’s. 

In 2000 Juan-Pierre branched out on his own as an entrepreneur doing network installations and support for UniTrans Logistics and various S.M.E’s. 
By 2005 he realised there is a huge gap in the market for VIOP products that just became legalised in South Africa. He left for Germany where he did VOIP training on SNOM Technology and became the sole importer & distributor for SNOM products in South Africa. In 2008 he also introduced the AllNet Product range from Germany to the South African Market. 

Juan-Pierre evolved back into Corporate I.T in 2012. As Senior Network Engineer at AVON South Africa. Juan-Pierre became part of the EMEA team for AVON International and he was Project Leader in the Office365 change-over for the South African team. He was also instrumental in the roll-out for AVON Namibia’s infrastructure and support. 

He  moved on to NetConnect where he was Regional Manager for Gauteng, Mpumalanga, North-West and Limpopo. With clients like Aspen Pharmaceuticals, DANONE, Mayo Dairy, Bolore Africa Logistics, Alicewear Contempo and the Department of Defence he was exposed to a variety of server platforms, networking infrastructure as well as desktop support functions. 

He was offered a position at Respublica Student Livin g as their Senior Network Architect where he was in control of an IT network spanning the whole of South Africa consisting of 10 dormitories, consisting of 7000 users. He was involved in the network from design to planning, to building, roll-out and then support. He was also part of Respublica Australia’s Server Infrastructure roll-out and maintenance. 

In 2022 Juan-Pierre decided to team up with his partner, Elita Fouche, to help build their dream of merging their respective talents. They both longed for a quieter life away from the city and relocated to the picturesque Ceres valley in the Western Cape taking on projects they are passionate about.
